Travel Program

DAY 1: KANAZAWA

We are in Kanazawa, one of the most important cultural and artistic centers of the Edo period. The city offers various combinations of visits to be chosen accordingly to personal interest: from the samurai route, the Zen route, the art and architecture route, to the traditional arts and, not to be forgotten, the food and wine route to discover the local culinary traditions.

DAY 2: WAKURA ONSEN

We dedicate this morning to Kanazawa, to discover the richness of this city. In the afternoon, transfer to the Peninsula of Noto: our destination is Wakura Onsen, a spa town renowned for the beneficial properties of its waters, rich in salt. An opportunity to relax in our selected ryokan, a traditional structure located on a hill, with a beautiful view of Nanao Bay and enjoy the wonderful panorama it offers, particularly at sunset.

DAY 3: WAKURA ONSEN

The day is dedicated to an amusing panoramic tour of Chirihama beach, 8 km of golden sand along the Sea of Japan. Following, the Thousand Rice Paddies of Shiroyone, nationally designated as the “Special Place of Scenic Beauty”. We recommend the unparalleled experience of salt production at a local salt farm to learn the ancient and traditional methods used in the 13th century. Another highlight of the day will be the visit to local artisans to admire the beauty of the traditional Wajima lacquer, produced using centuries-old techniques, a very long process that involves between 75 and 130 steps, interspersed with drying phases. Return to our ryokan to immerse ourselves in the regenerating thermal waters.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE

The exciting journey to the Noto Peninsula comes to an end; travel back to Kanazawa by train or fly to your next destination. New experiences await for you in this extraordinary country.
